VP of Sales and Marketing

Our tagline is “Financial Messaging, Simplified”. We combine banking domain expertise, modern technology stack, innovation, and an understanding of ways of working at financial institutions to build and deliver compelling software products. We create the tools used by banks, central banks, corporations and Fintech companies to build integrations faster using ISO 20022 XML, JSON-APIs and other formats. Our SaaS and on premise solutions are used by more than 20 of the world’s leading banks.
We have built a strong foundation. We need a VP of sales and marketing to join our small, focused team and ensure strong future growth.
Our VP of Sales and Marketing will be the driving force behind the growth engine of the company. You will be part of our management team, lead our contractor sales people, work hands-on in sales, and take ownership of our marketing strategy. You will have experience selling to very large organisations, ideally banks and other financial institutions. Your mentorship will help everyone on your team remain on track to achieve goals.

Work location will likely be one of the following: Ireland, London, Finland.

Skills and requirements
Experience in marketing and selling technical software products and demonstrated ability to earn trust within a high quality and demanding business segment
Proven results as a sales leader (show us your results in your cover letter and resume, what impact/results you had in previous roles)
Experience in building and ramping up sales operations, working a sales funnel from growth hacking through to account management
Experience in proactively managing pipeline: qualifying deals, estimating close dates, setting accurate deal sizes
Excellent communication skills, including for creation of marketing content
Genuine interest in developing a digital marketing strategy
Ability and willingness to travel about 30% of the time to visit clients in Europe, North America, and also beyond
Experience in the banking domain is a plus, curiosity and willingness to learn about the domain is a must.
You may have worked for a bank, or for a software vendor or SaaS provider that delivers solutions to banks. It will be helpful if you know about some of the following topics : traditional transaction banking products, disruption in payments, real time and instant payments, and PSD2/open banking.

We now have 16 people in total, including sales and marketing people in 4 countries. In the last 3 years, we have entered the North American market and secured game changing deals.
