Hi there,
After SIBOS, our XMLdation founder, Juha, visited an art gallery in Tampere, Finland, saw an oil painting (Primary Colors), and discussed it with the artist Erno Peltonen. The artist was interested in Juha’s impressions: just like SIBOS, everybody is unique, yet at the end all are human and similar. Erno’s response: “SIBOS was not on my mind.” Later Erno sent on the artwork for us to share!

XMLdation started a new tradition—gin + t-shirts reception. To be continued in Miami, 2026—hope you can join us.
Martin Reynolds attended the PASA PIPC payments conference in Johannesburg. He sent us this short report.
Lots of things are happening in the South African payments space at the moment. Payment inclusion and modernization in a dynamic geo-political climate were some of the main topics under discussion.
With the SA Reserve Bank’s recent acquisition of a 50% stake in PayInc (formerly BankServ) to create a national payments utility—meant to assist the modernization of the South African payments ecosystem—the landscape is bound to look very different a few years from now.
Through it all, the “Can do” attitude, typical of South Africans, remains a beacon of hope for future generations that will call this beautiful country home.
If you attend any of these events, drop us a note and arrange to meet!
