Banks continue to work extensively with MT files, in international payments and in other areas like securities. There is no sign yet that SWIFT MT files will be retired. In fact the new GPI initiative at SWIFT, including their important cloud payments tracker, relies on MT and may extend the lifetime of MT even further.
In this webinar, we gave an overview of the MT files used in payments, and demoed our Validator and File Generator tools. These tools are used by banks to speed up and to automate testing of their MT-based payments processes.
